What travelers say:
Weifang's Hele and meat fire is my favorite noodle in Shandong!
When I came to Weifang, my family treated me to a meal and brought me to this Helewang. I thought I would just eat a bowl of noodles, but I ended up ordering a bunch of Weifang specialties.
"Traditional solid chicken and duck Hele" is really big enough to be a bit surprising. The noodles are gluteny and tough, soaked in the soup made from chicken and duck, very fresh. There are chicken and duck meat, luncheon meat, egg skin, sweet garlic, vegetables, etc. in the noodles. The luncheon meat is delicious! It is countless times better than the ones with flavors outside. The most classic thing about Hele is sweet garlic. Putting it in the soup not only relieves greasiness, but also adds a layer of taste to the noodles. This way of eating is the original creation of Weifang Hele and my favorite.
I personally think the other special dishes are average. The taste here is much heavier than Qingdao, so I feel that all the dishes are too salty.
"Weixian Fried Meat" Spiced Meat is a dish for Weifang's New Year's Eve dinner. The skin is slightly burnt, but it is softer than Zibo, and the meat inside is more tender. Each piece is very solid and very satisfying to eat.
The "radish meatballs" are not fried crispy enough, and the radish content does not seem to be very high, but the meatballs in Weifang are usually eaten with hot and sour soup, which is still amazing.
The "fried chicken wings" have a very crispy skin and are covered with fragrant sesame seeds, but they are too salty...
The overall taste of the dishes is not as amazing as Hele, and it may be that I am not used to the taste here, but I recommend that friends who like to eat heavy fried foods can come and try it, they should like it very much. [萌萌哒R]
